Our tour of the United States is fast coming to an end, in fact in just 24 hours time we will be on a plane to Seoul, Korea. And yes I know its been a while since I last updated my travel weblogs.

Here are the highlights of our East Coast tour.

New York City - I've been to the Met Museum, travelled up the 80 something floors of the Empire State building, which by the way has it very own zip code. Ridden the Staten Island ferry (twice cause its free) to see the statue of liberty and the city sky line, visited the trade towers site (very airy), people watched in Grand Central Station, and hung out in Time Square during the day, and at night. I also bargained with some street guy for a couple of DVD's just for fun. While staying in NY a friend from NZ called Ben Turner (anyone else know him?) took us to this pizza place on 104th W St just down from the University of Columbia's campus where we ate the biggest piece of pizza I've ever seen. Now you know normally I could eat a whole pizza hutt pizza without even blinking. Let me tell ya, I was full after one piece. And get this, a piece only cost $2.45.

Our New York City adventures have by far been the most memorable for me so far on the East Coast. A big thank you goes out to Jess Moore who let us stay two nights in her apartment on the upper west side of New York city one block from central park. I now own a Yankees cap and beanie.

Boston - COLD. Had a few interesting moments with a cab driver trying to tell him how to get to the place we were staying, when I'd only been there once myself. In the end I got him to drop us at a subway station where I managed to find the way back due to a pizza place I noticed earlier that night. Didn't get to see much of the city by day, but the night life is pretty cool. Thanks Elizabeth and co.

Vermont - Lovely state. Mrs Tibbetts took us with her while she was on a conference and we got to stay in a glorious hotel. Snow boarding, and skiing was free for guests so I got a few days in on the board, plus the spa and sauna facilities afterwards rocked.

Greenwich CT - One of the strangest places I've been too. Too much money sums up this area. Rich people with nothing better to do with their lives than show it off.

It was however really cool to have a huge house to stay in for a week and catch up with close friends. (thanks Jill I'm gonna miss chatting to you every week - good luck with the job thing) That definitely made it worth while.

New Hampshire - A big thanks goes out to Katies grandparents for letting us stay with them a couple of times. I would love to see this area in the summer and maybe played a round at the golf course.

Hartford Wolf Pack - For those who don't know this is an AHL ice hockey team. We all went to a game in Hartford which turned out to be more of a boxing match rather than an ice hockey game.

Other than that, I've been hanging with Katies brother Matt, and being spoilt by her parents. Its been really nice to have a holiday from working, however now we're off to Korea for what I'm sure will be an adventure that we won't forget anytime soon.

More on that later.
