A NEW ERA BEGINS - 18:17 27th May 2005 NZST.
Its been a long time since anything has happened on e-fatti mainly due to the busy life I am now leading. A year of teaching has now gone by with many wonderful memoies and adventures of Korea, Thailand, China, and The Philippines but now starts a new era.
While in Korea I put a big emphasis a getting and staying healthy which lead me to the weight I am now, 82.4kg, and for those who know me thats a considerable effort. This was about the time my good friend NateDog came along with an opportunity not only to continue to take care of my health but also have the oppurtunity to build a business and have the potential to earn an income.
Nate I'm looking forward to working with you and USANA's potential business opportunity.

Sorry haven't been updating as frequently as I should but life here is hot and busy. Four new albums have now been added to Photos - Korea, they are.

Changes happening to E-fatti - 13:48 15th December 2003 NZST.
I hope this update finds everyone in good health. You may have noticed that there have been a few changes to e-fatti. In preparation for my big OE which is in less than a month away now. I have created two new sections - The World Travels section will be a blog of my adventures around the world as well as letting you know my current location. Travel Albums is just that. This will have the latest pictures I have taken and have had time to upload to the site.
Other E-fatti changes include the addition of my Mt Somers hiking log and also a quick reformat of the navigation bar on the right.

Life is busy - 11:54 20th October 2003 NZST.
Hi everyone
Sorry there has been no photo additions lately but life has been rather busy and I just can't seem to find the time to scan and upload them.
Still progressing slowly with the Korean plans, and hopefully in the next month I can be more definite as to where and what I'm doing. One thing is definite and that is I will not be in New Zealand after the 12th of January.

Life, Korea, Google and more..... - 13:06 23rd September 2003 NZST.
Howdy all,
Life Update -- Two weeks ago both Katie and I ran the Cadbury Moro half marathon in just over 2 hours. I know thats no record, but for a person who couldn't run more than 20 minutes not more than a year ago I thought it was a considerable effort. My official time was 2hrs 2min and 29sec with Katie finishing one second ahead of me. You'd think after 3 days of sore muscles I wouldn't be up for any more punishment, well was wrong, just this last weekend I did a 16 km mountain run for fun, and am seriously thinking about running another half marathon in 3 weeks time.
Korea Update -- Plans are in the wings for a holiday to the US starting early January before heading across to Korea. I am really looking forward to seeing more of the world, and with the end of the year drawing closer it is becoming very real. More info on this shortly
Google Update -- E-fatti.com and outc.org are now in google. If you type "Jared Mitchell" in I am now ranked #2, and #3 out of 157,000, Not bad.
Website Updates -- Nothing new to report except my OUTC has had a bit of a face lift. I haven't had time to scan any photos lately, but Im hoping that in the next month or so I'll have some time.
Well thats about it. Off to the Copland hotpools again this weekend for another crazy OUTC weekend.

Korea - Next years destination - 12:45 26th August 2003 NZST.
Lately I have been contemplating a change of scenery. Even though New Zealand has a lot to offer I have found myself wondering what the rest of the world is like, so after lengthy discussions with friends, family and of course my significant other I have decided to leave New Zealand next year (with Kt) and teach English in Korea.
With that said my applications are finally in and it is simply a wait until the right job comes up game. At the moment it looks as if the best time to get a job will be between Xmas and New Years.
Meanwhile there has been plenty happening around here. A trip to Mt Somers two weeks ago lead to a great time climbing peaks with fantastic views of the southern alps - pics to follow.
Also over the past 3 weeks I have been involved in running my friend Mike Ketchens campaign for OUSA President. This has lead to many late nights chalking. postering and web designing (See votemikenow.com) as well as of course going out every night to the pubs smoozing with the locals. Andie joined us last weekend and had a great time wearing a Vote Mike t-shirt. With the campaign coming to a close we can only wait for the result which after all the effort we have put in should mean Mike gets the job
One last thing to mention. My flatmate Malc managed to cheat death a few weeks ago after hitting black ice. There are pics online which can be viewed in BestBeUpdated.

E-fatti Receives a makeover - 12:43 23rd July 2003 NZST.
I've ended up having quite a busy month working on e-fatti.com, most of which no one will notice. E-fatti has moved into the site templating error care of smarty.php.net. For this means nothing but for me it means creating sites just became a whole lot easier
So whats new. Firstly you might notice that the header picture has changed. In fact I know have a different picture for each day of the week. I have also added a new photo album from last weeks adventures with Kt to Luxmore hut on the Kepler Track. It has to be said that this was one of those unforgettable experiences, with both the sunrise and sunset so incredibly beautiful that photos will never describe its magnificence.
Bestbeupdated forums has moved addresses and can now be found at http://forum.e-fatti.com. This change is due to e-fatti.com moving servers and the added availability of sub-domains

Whats happening for July at E-fatti - 12:03 8th July 2003 NZST.
Well, not much has happened (visibly anyway) at E-fatti lately. I have been concentrating on the other side of things. (each pages code). The month of July is turning out to be a busy one with a trip to Luxamore hut to play in the snow on the Kepler track planned for this weekend. We may even get the chance to climb Jackson Peak weather permitting on Sunday
In two weeks time myself and Kt will also be attending the annual Otago University Tramping Club bush ball at Mt Aspiring hut which will no doubt turn out to be a fun adventure with 80 other random people. We are also three weeks into a 12 week training plan to run the Dunedin half marathon which is taking up all my other spare time so although I still have lots of photos to put up they'll have to wait. Hopefully I might get a chance to place some new pics up next month
I have also been working on another personal web project. The Otago University Tramping Club now has its own unofficial online forums to abuse each other in. We'll see how well it works over the next semester.
Other than that all is well here in Dunedin. Winter has finally set in bringing plenty of snow and cold nights

June a busy month for E-fatti - 12:58 16th June 2003 NZST.
June has been one of e-fattis biggest months. There are no over 300 pictures online in the Photo Albums section. Many new albums have been added, and others are being constantly updated.
The biggest news however is google has picked up my site. The phrase "Jared Mitchell" has been hovering around the top 20 of approx 100,000 results. Still a long way from firmly establishing this site in the search engines tho.
A big HI to Katies parents in the Middletown Connecticut, and of course her younger brother Matt. Just so you know Kt is working on a little online surprise of her own for you and her friends (watch this space)
No big weekends away like this last one in Wellington (great times for all that were there) will see E-fatti continue to be paid attention, with more photos, trip write-ups to come.

More E-fatti updates this week - 12:28 29th May 2003 NZST.
Its been a busy week. All photo albums should now be fully functional, meaning thumbnails can now be viewed in two sizes, the largest being 800px. Upgrades have also been made to the BestBeUpdated forum. To see a list of these please view the News and Updates section in the forum.
In the next few weeks I hope to have most pages functioning, and more albums becoming available.

Hi all,
It has been a successful month for E-fatti. E-fatti can now be found in google. Currently searching on "Jared Mitchell" will bring e-fatti.com up in 13th place from 93 900 results. (Not a bad start). E-fatti is alos listed in various other search engines. I will be creating a posting in News and Updates shortly to keep a track of e-fatti's placements.

After my first quiet weekend in Dunedin for a long time, I have been able to do some work on E-fatti. You will notice the photo albums section is up again. At the moment you can only view the pictures as thumbnails. Viewable full size versions will be available in the next major update.
